A native of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Kevin grew up in the rolling hills of Augusta County, spending many hours climbing trees, exploring nearby woods and pastures, and enjoying the outdoors. He now makes his home in neighboring Rockingham County.
He is a self-taught artist who uses graphite pencil, and occasionally charcoal, to capture the timeless scenes and the wonder found in the rural Virginia countryside. He enjoys imitating the textures and patterns that Nature offers; found in a bird's feathers, in a leaf, in the grains of an old stump. May you find as much enjoyment and wonder in these works as Kevin finds in creating them.
